Procedure to disable the windows update in windows 7 and windows 8
1 Log in to the Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating system as an administrator.
2 Click Start and type windows update
3 then goto Change setting
4 Then select Never check for update (Not recommended)
5 Deselect Allow all users to install updates on this computer and click OK.
